15 march 2005
Hatteras had a great success at the 2005 Miami International Boat Show, thanks to a well-received selection of new models. Spurred by the debut of the 64 Motor Yacht and announcements of the forthcoming 64- and 75-foot Convertibles, demand for Hatteras product escalated to a new high for the annual Miami sales event. Hatteras debuted its newest product, the 64 Motor Yacht, on the boat show's opening day. Two upcoming flybridge models, the 64 Convertible and 75 Convertible, were also successfully previewed to dealers and customers at the show. These new product introductions come fast on the heels of previously successful introductions within the past year, including the 68 Convertible and 80 Motor Yacht Sky Lounge. Hatteras Yachts, a unit of Brunswick Corporation, is recognized as a world leader in the construction of convertible sportfishing and luxury motoryachts. Based in New Bern, N.C., Hatteras pioneered the production of large offshore fiberglass powerboats with the introduction of its first model in 1959.
