Boat Show in Sydney (Report)

The 3 of August has finished the International Boat show in Sydney. It lasted 5 days (from 29 July to 3 august 2004). This event has attacked nearly 94 000 visitors. Has been presented not only the boats of different types and sizes, but also accessories for them, and all the equipment for water sport and leisure.
The biggest Australian company - Riviera Group has presented on the Boat Show the model Riviera M290 sports cruiser, and also the latest new yachts - Riviera M400 Sports Cruiser and Riviera 33 Flybridge Convertible.
Riviera M400 Sports Cruiser

Riviera M400 pepresents the new style of sportive cruisers. New, agronomical design of steering wheel provides excellent visibility and it becomes more easy to drive this cruiser. Riviera M400 is equipped by 2 engines: Mercruiser, 375 hp each. As for the navigation equipment is remarkable 8-inch Raymarine colour chart plotter, and also thrusting propeller 6 hp, –all this is included into the standard equipment. Cruiser can accommodate 5 persons; there are 2 cabins. There is a conditioner and 2 refrigerators on board.
Riviera 33 Flybridge Convertible

Standard equipment is with engines Volvo D6 310 hp each, so the yacht goes with cruising speed of 23 knots. You will find on board everything for long-distance trip: perfectly equipped galley (refrigerator and microwave, 17’ LCD TV, TV, DVD-player, stereo system. Cockpit can be used also as fishing area.

Azimut exhibited the following models: Azimut 42, 46, 50, 55 and 62.
Azimut 55 and 62 have been one of the biggest yachts on the Boat Show among mid-size boats.

Besides has been presented Azimut 68S and 86S – embodiment of the new concept «sports boats». After 4 month’s debut of Azimut 68S on Genova Boat Show in October 2003, on Boat show in Dusseldorf, in January 2004 has been presented a new model - Azimut 86S.

On the Boat Show have been presented a lot of cruisers from Princess, Fairline, Regal, Sunrunner and other companies, but the biggest model has exhibited Fairline - Squadron 55 Flybridge Cruiser.
Fairline Squadron 55

Marvelous 17-meter (17.05m) cruiser made for 6-8 guests. Range of rating of installed engines is from 1216 hp to 1400 hp. With 2 х Volvo D12 EDC 700 hp Fairline Squadron 55 speeds up to 34 knots.

Princess Company has presented a lot of models: Princess 50, Princess 61, Princess 65, Princess V46, Princess V50, Princess V58, Princess V65 and Princess 57, debutant of Southampton International Boat Show in September 2003.
Princess 57

Princess 57 – yacht, with such great distinguishing features as high-speed, stability in the sea, it`s easy to drive and comfortable for long-distance trips. Master cabin is situated in the center of the boat, 2 guest cabins (with bathrooms) – on the bow part of the boat. Wide windows in saloon give you an opportunity to enjoy the splendid view from inside. Dining area is situated behind the galley with refrigerator and washing machine. Big swimming platform. On the fly bridge there is a bar, grill for barbecue, refrigerator, sun pad for 2 persons and spacious area with settees for leisure. With engines 2 x Volvo Penta D12/715 (2 x 715hp) yacht speeds up to 30 -32 knots.

Some words about French shipyards. Models of Jeanneau Company - Prestige 46 and Prestige 34 are the debutants on this show. Before, this company specialized on Australian market with sailing vessels.
Prestige 46

46-foot (14.55 m) yacht with a big fly bridge can take on board 6 – 10 (optional) persons in 3 comfortable cabins.
Prestige 34

Deep V-shaped hull gives the comfort onboard even while you travel on high speed. Prestige 34 can take on board 6-8 persons. Model is equipped by engines 2 x 320 hp.

Beneteau Company has presented on the show the following models: Swift Trawler 42, Antares 13.80, Antares 9.80, Antares 7.60, Flyer 650 Open, 550 Cabin и 500 Open.
Flagman - Antares 13.80

This 14-meter yacht (LOA: 13.95m, length of hull: 13.68m) with engines 2 х Volvo EDC 480HP speeds up to 31 knots with full load. Fuel use is enough low: 2 x 54 l with cruising speed 17 knots. You can take on board 6-7 persons.
