HATTERAS 75 CONVERTIBLE

Hatteras recently unveiled its largest new sportfishing project, a 75 Convertible that features industry-leading specifications in beam, draft and fuel capacity, as well as innovative interior layout options and advanced technical features.

Like all Hatteras Yachts, the 75 Convertible is built on a solid-fiberglass hull with Divinycell coring in the hull sides, decks and bulkheads. She features a length of 75-feet, 10-inches and a 22-foot beam, easily the widest in her class. Her shallow draft of 4 feet,11 inches grants her access to shallow ports and marinas that her competitors cannot enter. And a 3,200-gallon fuel capacity is the largest in its class, offering an unrivaled range.

Inside, a day head to port is easily accessed from the cockpit, while a circular staircase offers easy navigation to the flybridge above. The 75 features a luxurious salon with a huge L-shaped sofa with rod storage beneath, entertainment center with 42-inch plasma TV, and a custom club chair for relaxation. Standard wood is genuine cherry, in a high-gloss or satin polyester finish.

No step is required to access the low-profile galley, which features three under-counter Sub-Zero drawer units, with three bar stools aft. A second option would be to provide an upright refrigerator with wrap-around counter and three bar stools inboard. Also under consideration is a design that provides private access to the crew's quarters from the salon.

Both arrangements feature extended pull-out drawers which recess into the pantry, a trash compactor, garbage disposal, four-burner ceramic cooktop and microwave convection oven. Amtico strip flooring and solid-surface countertops and backsplashes give the galley an elegant look and long-lasting durability.

To starboard, a large dinette features a U-shaped lounge with storage beneath, decorative wood pedestal and Avonite solid-surface countertops.

Below, the 75 is configured with four staterooms, each with a private head, as well as crew's quarters accessible from the engine room. The master stateroom is amidship, accessible through a foyer entry with a full-length cedar-lined hanging locker. This true full-beam master stateroom is equipped with a king-size berth, large oval portlights for ambient light, along with twin dressers and nightstands. For entertaining, a plasma TV and 8-disc CD/DVD player is included.

By omitting the crew's quarters, owners may opt for a his-and-her head with a full-size shower and mirror-image facilities to port and starboard.

The bow stateroom features a walk-around queen berth with cedar-lined storage beneath. To port are twin side-by-side berths; for flexibility, the inboard berth slides outboard to form a queen. To starboard, a fourth stateroom features a walk-around queen. All guest staterooms feature abundant storage and LCD TVs for entertaining.

The 75 Convertible will be introduced with an enclosed flybridge and interior stairwell as standard. The bridge is equipped with forward-facing seating for captain and four guests, thanks to a centered helm chair and two wide riding seats to port and starboard. The forward console is designed to house five flat-screen displays and features a convertible-style steering station with single-lever electronic controls. The standard helm will include Hatteras' computer-based systems monitor that routes all ship's systems, engine diagnostics, fuel transfer systems, tank levels and more to a centralized touch-screen display.
